Connect with Facebook

This page belongs to the Meta app “Konten Veröffentlichen” (App ID 1095796733197497). The app lets the owner of the Instagram professional accounts German Digital Engineering (@german.digital.engineering) and Berlin Motion Design (@berlin.motion.design) answer comments on their own Reels with a direct message.

Anmeldeseite für die Meta-Prüfung. Die Seite lädt Facebook erst nach dem Klick auf den Knopf.

1. Log in

Nothing is loaded from Facebook until you click the button. The page does not store or show your access token and sends nothing to our server.

Before you click: the button loads the Facebook SDK from connect.facebook.net (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, with Meta Platforms, Inc., USA). Your browser then sends your IP address and browser data to Meta, and Meta may set cookies or store data in your browser. The login itself is handled by Meta under its privacy policy. If you do not want this, do not click. Until then no cookies are set and nothing is loaded from Meta.

What the app does with each permission

The app only acts on the accounts of its owner and only after a person has commented a keyword under one of the account’s own Reels.

instagram_basic
Reads the Instagram user ID of the connected account and lists its recent Reels (ID, time, type), so the app knows which keyword belongs to which Reel and ignores Reels older than 7 days.
instagram_manage_comments
Reads the comments under the account’s own Reels and compares them with the keyword of that Reel. Optionally posts one short public reply (“DM ist raus” with an emoji) under the comment. It does not hide, delete or moderate comments.
instagram_manage_messages
Sends one private reply to the commenter asking whether they follow the account, reads the person’s answer, and then sends the requested text (a prompt) or a short request to follow first. Follow-up messages are only sent after the person has written to us, inside the 24-hour window. No bulk or unsolicited messages.
pages_show_list
Finds the Facebook Page that is linked to the Instagram account, so the Page ID and Page access token can be used for the calls above. Only the owner’s Pages are shown (see section 2).
pages_read_engagement
Required by Meta for private replies and for reading the Instagram conversation (to detect that the person has answered) and the follow status. The app does not read or store posts, likes or figures of the Facebook Page.
pages_manage_metadata
Used for one read call, GET /{IGSID}?fields=is_user_follow_business, after the person has replied: it decides whether the text is sent or the person is asked to follow first. The app changes no Page settings and subscribes no other Pages.

Data: comment ID, text, time and username, the reply text and the follow result. Stored locally by the operator in Germany, comment and dialog data deleted after 30 days, the “already answered” marker after 12 months. No sale, no advertising, no profiling. See Privacy Policy and Data Deletion.

How to test (for reviewers)

  1. Click Continue with Facebook above. Use your own Facebook test user. Choose the Page German Digital Engineering and confirm all permissions. This page then lists the Page, its linked Instagram account and the granted permissions.
  2. Use your own test Instagram account. Before approval Meta only delivers messages to people with a role on the app. Send us the Instagram username of your test account in the review conversation and we add it as Instagram Tester.
  3. On Instagram, open the public Reel “KI rechnet deine Heizlast” of @german.digital.engineering and comment the keyword HEIZLAST.
  4. The app reads the comment and sends a private reply (in German, because our audience is German): it asks whether you follow the account and to answer in the chat. A short public reply (“DM ist raus” plus an emoji) appears under the comment. Delivery can take a few minutes.
  5. Reply to that message with any text, for example “Yes” (the app treats any message from you as a reply).
  6. The app checks the follow status. If you do not follow @german.digital.engineering, it asks you to follow and to write again (at most three times per keyword). Follow the account and write again.
  7. If you follow the account, you receive the requested text block (the prompt). Each API call used is described in the permission list above.

Kurz: Anmelden, Kommentar mit Stichwort unter dem Reel, DM-Frage, Antwort „Ja“, Follower-Prüfung, Prompt kommt an.
